Should I Be Sad About Cecil?

There are hundreds of baby parts being sold at this very moment, and there has been for the last 15 years. But the only thing that seems to be on people's minds lately is a lion that passed away. Why? I have no idea.

(Cecil above right)

There was an uproar when the media told civilians that the lion, Cecil, was killed on July 1, 2015, by a hunter and beloved dentist named Walter Palmer. Dr. Palmer paid native africans $50,000 dollars to unknowingly hunt the lion, where he shot the lion with a bow and arrow.

Yes I completely agree that any death, animal or human, is a tragedy but should the death of cecil really steal the attention of this many people when there is a multitudinous ammount of other tragedies taking place at this very moment! Even the natives of africa are not burdened with this death. They do not cry over lions in their country, in fact they rejoice in the killing of lions. This passing away of life is a positive event, for now they can get a bit more sleep at night knowing that there is one less lion that they have to fear.
